The Men Who Danced directed by Ron Honsa and produced by Moving Pictures ( presents the story of the first all-male dance company in the United States, known as Ted Shawn’s Men Dancers. This film includes historic footage of the company performing in the 1930s, capturing the beauty and rigor of Shawn’s choreography. Additionally, it tells the story of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the oldest dance festival in America. The program highlights include interviews with eight of the original men dancers including the principal dancer Barton Mumaw.

This 20th Anniversary DVD release of The Men Who Danced has been digitally enhanced and includes additional segments of never before seen footage. This expanded edition of The Men Who Danced is an essential addition to college and dance performance collections, as well as for dance enthusiasts.
